How to translate Russian text offline

Download the Russian pack
Open Settings, then Offline languages, and tap the download icon next to Russian. It is about 30 MB and only needs to be done once.

Type, paste or speak
Open the Translate tab and type or paste Russian text, and the language is detected automatically. To use your voice, tap the microphone and speak in the selected language.

Listen, copy or scan
Tap the speaker to hear the translation, or copy and share it. On the Scan tab, point at an object to see its name in both languages and save the word.

Can the camera read Cyrillic?
Not in the current version. The live camera and photo import read Latin-script text only. Russian text and object translation work offline, and voice input works too.
Does the Russian translator work offline?
Yes. Download the Russian pack once and text and object translation work without internet. Voice input uses your phone's own speech recognition, so it works offline only for languages your phone can dictate offline.
Does it work for Ukrainian too?
Ukrainian is a separate pack in the same app, with the same offline text translation.
